In late afternoon, an ominous line of moody clouds rolled over the Badlands. The transition was certainly ethereal, but the visibility decreased to pea-soup and the air was raw. Now I see the weather service has posted a Dense Fog Advisory, with icing expected overnight. I’ve got to be down in White River / South Unit in the morning, so I hope the morning clears ahead of schedule.
