Excited to learn that my work will be featured in decomP literary magazine‘s forthcoming special issue:  April 2004-2014: The Best of Ten Years!  My poem re-imagines the fall of Icarus, as depicted in Pieter Bruegel’s 1558 painting Landscape with the Fall of Icarus.  I asked myself:  what if a young girl — unnoticed by the painter — saw the boy Icarus fall from the sky, and intervened?
