After several ascetic and exasperating days of editing (I chained my arm to my desk and only left my casita to walk to the mailbox – seriously) I am heading over to the Mabel Dodge Luhan house tonight for another Taos literary event — this one a biographical-themed celebration of Mabel’s life, as she was born on this day (February 26th)! Last weekend, I attended a SOMOS reading at Mabel Dodge, featuring Dana Levin reading from her incredible new book of poems, Sky Burial as well as Veronica Golos, reading from her forthcoming Vocabulary of Silence (Golos is a former Wurlitzer fellow).
