After a long day of driving (!), I hit a big thunderstorm with bad gusts and a light-show… then sleet… So I curled up in the back of the truck at “Hailstone Rest Area” where (despite the sleet) the peepers were singing happily in a patch of slough. Cozy. Plus – I was so exhausted I fell asleep instantly. Now I’m off to take a scenic drive through Teddy Roosevelt National Park.
