A beautiful way to end the day, sketching and writing on the “horn” of Saddle Pass trail. PS: yes, once again, it really is more difficult going down than going up. Going up is steep, but going down the footing is crumbling and loose (or gooey and slick! I saw long skid marks where someone came down on a muddy day!). It is easy to slide, especially if you are distracted by drop-dead vistas of sun-drenched sediments and fragments of mammal life circa the Oligocene!
