Saddle Pass: Erosion

This boulder-studded gully channels just a trickle of water… tinkling and burbling as it runs over ledges of fallen channel stone. The channel is cut pretty deep in places, with lots of small “natural bridges” or arches. All of these boulders have fallen from the tops of the formations, where they previously served as “protection” caps for underlying sediments which has since eroded.
