Beautifully solitary setting; there are distant views of the Black Hills from those steps. Black Elk lived near Manderson (Pine Ridge Reservation).

This abandoned church is located along BIA-33. I couldn’t see a name. The braided creek was near this site as well, a few miles further, glowing like woven ropes of blue pearls.
